Tales of the Black Guard

Nobilis Reed is now accepting submissions for an audio (and possibly ebook) anthology titled "Tales of the Black Guard."

The basic idea for these stories is laid out in the foundation story, "The Lady in Black," which is episode 259 of the Nobilis Erotica podcast. These are erotic BDSM stories set in a space opera setting.

If you have not listened to that episode, please do not submit your story.  If your story is not erotic, do not submit your story. If your story does not concern the Black Guard, do not submit your story. If your story conveys negativity about sex or BDSM, don't send it.

You may submit a query if you think you have an idea but do not know if it will fit within the Tales of the Black Guard universe. If you're fairly sure it fits, go ahead and send it.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

Send your story via email to authornobilis@gmail.com with the subject line SUBMISSION TO TALES OF THE BLACK GUARD, the story title, and the author name. Within the text of the email, include your name, your pseudonym (if any), story wordcount, and the email address for correspondence concerning this story. Your story should be an attachment, which ALSO includes your name and email address.

Your manuscript should be attached to the email in RTF or ODT format. Manuscripts should be well-formatted. If you try to get my attention using something fancy, you'll probably just get on my bad side.  It should be between 4000 and 7000 words, though exceptions will be made for exceptional stories. I'm not interested in nonconsensual violence, rape, castration, murder, necrophilia, or other purposefully gross topics. I'm not interested in homophobic, racist, or sexist messages.

Payment will be $25 for audio rights, payable upon publication, with one-year exclusivity, and with an option to publish in an ebook anthology. If and when that ebook is published, a further $25 will be paid.
