In response to Jack [see entry below], anal sex is not for me either. We tried it several times just to see what the hoopla is about, and frankly neither of us enjoyed it. My husband, he truly does enjoy a backside view, he's an ass man all the way. But like Jack, he has absolutely no fascination with butt-holes and all I can say is thank goodness.

It took me a long time to agree to having anal sex with my husband.  I was really turned off by the poo factor and how him with his queasy stomach would react in such an intimate moment, so no, just no, would not go there. But he's a resourceful chap and one day came home with an enema kit.  Had me assume the position and that was the start of a whole new chapter. All I can think is that the folks who are turned on by anal sex don't have any bowel/elimination issues. After I sent in my entry, pun intended, I realized that mine may give the impression that my desire for anal sex is typical for women when it's not.  A friend recently tried anal for the first time with her husband, and has now flatly refused to ever try it again, then I told her that trying it for the first time in a professional porn position wasn't really the easiest way to begin.  The easiest way is with a well-lubed finger and then, after your partner adjusts to that, two well-lubed fingers.  Progress to dildos, butt plugs (fun to wear during the day under your clothes), but then full-on anal penetration is usually easiest for a first-timer if the catcher is on their stomach with a pillow under their hips.  If you start gently, you can often teach your partner the pleasures of anal sex and they'll desire more and more, but gently is key before progressing to more active anal sex (like the type I now enjoy).

I find anal sex enjoyable as an occasional thing. I hate, absolutely hate ramming hard fucking type anal sex.
