Okay...I've only ever tried a butt plug once in my life, and it sure as hell was troublesome! Damn thing wouldn't stay put! I have been into anal sex since I was 27. I have worked myself up to using a 3 1/2" x 18" dildo (inserting 10-12" in my rectum). I have long thought about wearing a butt plug in public, but once I get anything in (I like the LA Special), I automatically start working it in and out. For all of you out there who haven't worked up the guts to buy a real plug, here's a suggestion. Rather than walking around your house looking for good objects, why not walk around a drug store (the shampoo/bodywash area is usually best suited)? I have found that if I go in to the store with a means of measuring the circumference I want I end up happy with my purchase at home.

As with anything you would find around the house, make sure there are no sharp edges on anything you intend to put up your butt. I also find bottles full of warm water are best because they don't deform as easily under pressure and the warmth is a nice sensation.
