I have a <ahem> small collection of Butt Plugs. I seem to find that their capacity to stay put depends a great deal on the size of the 'head' and just how much you are able to relax during use. Larger, thicker seems to stay put better for me. Slimmer and smaller is nice, but needs more work staying put. In my experience they can stay put during 'other things' only if held in place - the pressure of vaginal penetration tends to pop them out. I find that smaller works better for this, because the anus is separated from the vagina by a fairly thin, flexible wall of tissue and larger ones tend to intrude into the vaginal space. It can be uncomfortable (crowded!).
