Think about it -- it doesn't make any sense to go through the considerable effort of explanations and actual lactation if there isn't a good solid reason for it.

Take the steps in a reasonable way: find a man or woman who is seriously interested in adult breast feeding. Find out if hospitals accept breast milk from women of a certain ago who have induced breast milk.

Once you have those issues settled, then start on your journey. Otherwise you could very well be setting yourself up for serious disappointment.

I just happened to stumble upon this site and can't turn away. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with a problem I am experiencing. I am taking hormone replacement therapy due to a complete hysterectomy. My sex life has gone out the window even with the HRT. My doc wants to take me off it next month. I am in the process of a divorce so sex isn't happening right now and I don't sleep around.  I am embarrassed to ask my gynecologist about inducing lactation. Afraid he will think I am off my rocker. I also have a mammogram next month!

I loved nursing my kids and my, then, husband loved it too. Since I am not in a relationship should I consider lactation induction and get started so when I do get into one I can then enjoy the fruits of nursing? I know if I do lactate I will need to pump till someone takes over. Has anyone ever had to explain to their gyno why they are nursing but no baby is involved?
