Words, by far have my vote. I got started by reading Nancy Friday. It's a lot like this website as far as the fantasies go. I've gotten off more reading her books than all the movies I've ever seen. I would have to agree with Allie [see Allie's entry below] that when I'm alone I prefer erotic pictures/video. For stories, it needs to be well written, a story and setting, building in waves to a long final sex scene. I find I read faster when I'm aroused, so I want them to last. The stories that turn me on the most are the ones that terrify me if they happened to me for real: sexual imprisonment and bondage, being raped (by women or men), or forced and permanent chastity against my will.

When it comes to pictures, I prefer a long series in a theme, either the same woman/people in many pictures, or by the same photographer/artist, then run them through a slide show on my computer. I don't like pictures with nudity or sex, I prefer swimsuit images or maybe lingerie. For me, there's nothing as erotic as the suggested and the barely hidden.
