Todd's comment made me laugh, but, honestly, it is the first thing that came into my head, too.  [see Todd's entry on page 2] My husband and I do a lot of rpg games (think dnd and modern versions).  but, aside from that, we have what we call the sexually charged alternate reality.  In both the regular games and in the scal versions, we often play out different scenarios in the guise of our characters.

One of the most fun things we've done is spin the bottle.  Just us two, but a myriad of characters and (surprisingly) all with different chemistries with each other.  We roll to see who kisses who and it's fun because it starts with a cheek kiss, but it can get quite wild from there.

It's also fun to do make-out sessions in character because when it is "real" - just us - we often cut to the chase pretty quick, but if we are role-playing a date of two individuals who don't know each other, well, sometimes those are marathon make out/drive each other crazy sessions.

We've also done submission games, teacher/student, slave (both ways), and sometimes we do these things online with each other in ims - so it is just like an extended foreplay naughty talk thing - which always results in both of us being extremely aroused!  And one of the naughtiest - (Todd might like this one) things we ever did was a dungeon crawl where instead of fighting the monsters we had to have sex with them (or each other).  it took some imagination (since there are only two of us and neither of us is a monster), but it was really fun.

I think years of "regular" role-playing made it easier for us to move into this area without feeling uncomfortable (it's been fourteen years of this, btw), but I admit I did feel a little silly at first.

The coolest part is (to me) you get to experience all these different characters (people?) but they are also parts of your partner and yourself.  It spices things up but in a way that we are both still comfortable.  And, it increases intimacy, which, to me, is the whole reason I have sex with my husband in the first place!  Well, that and it feels good. :D

I just have to say that this topic has the perfect time.  My husband and I have been happily married nearly eighteen years, and although we have enjoyed great intimacy and I will just say it, SEX, lately it has felt a little too routine.  So the other night I worked up the nerve to share a fantasy I have with him.  But I told him that while I described my fantasy I wanted us to act it out.  Whew!  I had never seen him get soo hard so fast.  It was great!

I love playing many roles. I think when we do it is really a part of us that we've kept hidden. I could never do it without knowing and trusting the other person. I've played submission but I much rather be in charge. I believe that's because I am more timid in my real life. Being a young schoolgirl is always lots of fun. This is partially in reference to Todd's comment. [see Todd's entry on page 2]That was intriguing. It has given me a wonderful idea to discuss with my fiance about a little "gaming" session.

But onto my own story. My fiance and I are very loving, very open people most of the time. But we do have one thing we've never shared with anyone else. Oh, we've told people about it and smiled whenever we discuss doing it again but it's rather personal for us. We like to role play a little bit on the animalistic side.

We don't go as far as to donning furry costumes and having sex like that but we play with the idea of what it would be like if we were animals who were sexually attracted to each other. He raises wolves when he's home and not fighting (I love my military man) and I've always loved Florida panthers (they're a type of cougar, not a panther contrary to their name.) We crawl around and growl and make little noises and act like the animals we're love so much. We both know that these two different species would of course never interact like this, but we just like to play. To us, it lets us express our need to be slightly uncivilized.

Role playing can definitely increase the excitement in your sex life.  My girlfriend and I had a good laugh the first time we tried it and it seemed at tad strange.  After that, however, we tried to be more serious about, planning the story, writing a script, dressing the parts, and choosing the right atmosphere. 

The next try was fantastic.  My girlfriend dressed in a cheerleader uniform, knee highs, pig tails, and glasses.  I was the coach who was getting ready to throw her off the squad for a team violation (pick one...we used poor grades) and she needed to give me a reason not to do so.  She gave me many reasons.

One evening while enjoying an after-glow cuddle my husband talked about a long standing fantasy of his, groping and caressing waitresses. We exited the room, changed into our 'costumes' and played the script, eventually the play took on a life of its own. I served an appetizer.  He ran his hand under my skirt, caressing my ass. I refilled his wine glass, he reached down my blouse, teased my nipple. In the kitchen I removed my panties and served dinner. We've played waitress/customer roles maybe a half-dozen times since, drawing the scene out, longer play, different touches, reactions, and it's still amazingly sexy.
