Bree’s Sweet Swirl Glass Vibe Review

Glass VibratorFor the second review for February from Out of the Toybox, I chose to look at Bree’s Sweet Swirl Glass Vibe. I saw this cute little toy and was especially intrigued because it was glass and had a swirled texture. I can never resist an intriguing hard toy!

When the toy arrived, my partner happened to be the one that opened the package and he just shook his head and telling me he felt old. I only later discovered that it was because this particular vibrator is being pitched by Bree Olson. What can I say, not something I actually paid any attention to.

The Sweet Swirl Vibe came packaged in a clear clamshell package that I was actually able to open without scissors or personal injury and came with a white velvety bag just big enough for the petite vibrator. There was a faint odor of mold release so I gave the vibrator a bath in soap and water, then in toy cleaner before I dried it and inserted the four included LR-44 batteries.

The vibrator itself was well-finished and without any spurs, rough spots or flaws. It’s one of the smallest vibrators I have in my toy box, only slightly larger than the Pocket Rocket and about the size and thickness of my thumb at two inches long and Glass Vibeone inch in diameter. I liked being able to tuck the vibrator in my jeans pocket until Iwas ready to give it a whirl.

This little vibrator has a surprising range of patterns and a variable intensity. Most small vibrators have only a few levels of intensity and only one vibration pattern but the Sweet Swirl Vibe has five vibration patterns, each of which can be varied in speed. The pattern is controlled by a small push-button on the base of the vibrator and the speed is varied by a dial on the side of the base. The patterns range from a straight vibration, to pulsing, to a sort of rolling pattern.

This petite vibrator really is intended for clitoral use, not vaginal or anal and I limited my play to just external clitoral play. The Sweet Swirl Vibe was surprisingly powerful for such a small toy but I found changing patterns and adjusting the speed to be awkward and it consistently pulled me from the moment. Finally I settled on the straight vibration at maximum speed and was able to enjoy my lovely orgasm.

Glass VibratorProbably because of the size of the vibrator, the swirls that attracted me are actually only a slight texture and I couldn’t really feel them during play. The smooth glass slid nicely between my labia with the addition of just a small amount of lube.

This is definitely a vibrator that I’d classify as more of a “buzz” than a “throb”. I tend to prefer the heavier throb but that is quite difficult to achieve in a vibrator as small as the Sweet Swirl Vibe. Still, the number of choices available for pattern and speed should make most people happy.

One thing that I was not fond of in this vibrator is that it takes four LR-44 watch batteries. These are not something I keep readily available and they tend to be quite a bit more expensive than AA or AAA batteries. The other thing I didn’t like was the speed dial. This actually creates an area for bacteria to collect and makes keeping thevibrator as clean as I want to a bit difficult. I ended up resorting to a retired toothbrush to clean the dial and around the junction where the glass and plastic intersect.

If you intend to travel with this toy or carry it in your pocket, I’d suggest removing the batteries. The small push button on the base made it easy to turn on accidentally glass vibeand, in fact, it did turn on in my pocket once. If you don’t want to remove thebatteries, practice an explanation that mightfly—like the buzzing in your purse is actually your cell phone on vibrate. That way you’ll have a story ready at a moment’s notice.

If you are looking for a heavy duty, throbbing vibrator, the Sweet Swirl Vibe may not be the right toy for you. But if you are looking for a small toy with a large repertoire that you can easily carry with you, the Sweet Swirl Vibe may be a great addition to your collection. I enjoyed the Sweet Swirl Vibe and will add it to my toy box but I don’t think it will be a constant favorite because of the batteries, the cleaning issues and because it’s more buzz than I tend to prefer.
