Micropoetry Medley

All Wrong

she squats on the bed
mirror beneath
you boys are all wrong, she says
there’s not any teeth

Worlds apart,
yet closer than ever.
Talk dirty to me.

Lust has a ferocious appetite.
Taking all it wants leaving
love to feed on the rest.

Confess your sins to me
so that we may repeat them
together.

the turning moment
when you stop pulling away
start pushing back towards
fires me like nothing else
twists me in turn, spiraling

When I was eighteen
I showed my grandfather
my new tribal armband.
He showed me his faded battleship,
bearing Nanna’s name.

I think of you
inappropriately
much of the time.

half awake daydreams
your arms, legs, lips around me
drifting in a smile

This time, I woke up tied.
You looked eager, triumphant
scared out of your mind.

How is it that I
remember so well
the touch
I have never felt.

blow raspberries
neck, sternum, bellybutton
You know what’s next, right?
