This month we take a look at a new product from Fun factory, called the Cobra Libre, shipped to us by our friends at Good Vibrations. This is not a sleeve, masturbator, or any other normal men’s toy you are used to. Fun Factory calls this a “stimulator for men”. In other words, this is a vibrator for men, one which you fit the head of your penis into then select from the large variety of vibration patterns available to stimulate yourself.

Called the Cobra for its resemblance to the sports car, this is a sleek and attractive toy. It boasts dual motors which combine for a variety of vibration patterns. The description on the website claims the toy is waterproof, but a close read of the directions clearly warns against using this toy submerged so I’m not sure what to believe, however with the price of the toy I think I’ll follow the instructions just to be safe. The Cobra is also one of Fun Factory’s new lines of toys that use the “Click ‘n’ Charge” charging system in which you can use a single charger with a magnetic adapter for all current and theoretically future Click ‘n’ Charge toys.

Mr. Toy:

I’ve never used a toy like this, which in itself adds appeal. The Cobra looks and feels good in the hand, quality construction and touch sensitive buttons are a nice touch. With some water based lube on, I slipped into it and proceeded to work my way through all the different vibrations. I really like this toy, the dual motors produce intense vibration to the tip of my penis. Add a prostate toy and things can really rock and roll! I did not get off using this toy, and I think that is an important thing to note. The Cobra seems more oriented towards increasing arousal and maintaining it rather than focusing on reaching orgasm. That said, this is a great way to get things going for the real deal, and having Mrs. Toy use it on me while touching my lower shaft, testicles and other areas was amazing. I’m pretty sure she was surprised at the way I jumped at her after she was done using the toy on me!

The only thing I didn’t really like was the charge time, 12 hours to charge for 1 hour use is not so great. I like a toy that can be used multiple times between charges. Also I had some hiccups with the charger adapter. First I couldn’t quite get it lined up in a way that it would stay charging, I fixed that by propping up the Cobra at an angle. Second, once when I tried to turn the toy on it wouldn’t respond until I put it on the charger a few seconds. After that it worked fine, seems like an electronic glitch maybe?

Mrs. Toy:

This is a very different kind of toy. When Mr. Toy handed it to me and told me to turn it on. I started looking for a switch or button but couldn’t find it. He took it from me and placed his finger on the indented part and the light went on and it started to vibrate. I played around with the controls for a short time to make sure I knew how to use it before I gave it back to him. I let Mr. Toy put it on since I wasn’t sure how it fit. It uses suction to stay on so you have to push it on until it goes over this bump for it to stay in place. This would be a nice toy to use if you wanted to be doing other things to your partner because the toy stays in place pretty well. Just change the settings every once in a while to change the stimulation and give a massage, kiss where you like, or turn on a TV show (if you put headphones and a blindfold on your significant other he won’t hear or see the TV and if he is tied up won’t be able to get a blindfold off either). When it gets vibrating really well you may need to hold onto it or it can vibrate right off. It looked like a little car rolling up Mr. Toy’s stomach. Once I stopped laughing I put it back on and made sure to hold it in place this time.

Conclusions:

Our Pro’s: Click ‘n’ Charge could mean fewer chargers cluttering up the toy box in the future, well built, smooth and solid feeling, nice touch-sensitive buttons, excellent vibration sensations.

Our Con’s: 12 hours to charge to full, for approximately 1 hours use and the magnetic charger attachment is a bit touchy, you have to get it just right to keep the power flowing.
