Trojan Midnight Collection Triple Pleasure Vibrator

When I was requesting toys to review, the Trojan Midnight Collection Triple Pleasure Vibrator caught my eye with its interesting shape. It looks a bit like a genie bottle and I wanted to see if my thought that this shape would make it easier to maneuver would be true or not. The lovely folks at Good Vibrations were able to send it over for my review and feedback. Oh – and it’s purple!

When I got a chance to take out the vibrator and start examining it, I was pleasantly surprised that it was not as dainty as it appeared on the website. It pleasantly fills my palm at 4 ¾ inches long with a base of 2 ¼ inches and tapering to a tip of 1 ½ inches. There are three tips included with the vibrator as well as an included AA battery and a little drawstring bag to store the toy and tips in. I did notice the smell of mold release fairly strongly when I opened the vibrator’s packaging so I ended up giving it two baths before I was satisfied that any extra chemicals had been removed. The extra bath made have been overkill for many people but the last thing I (or anyone) wants is a case of chemical burns that would make you the subject of “can you believe” tales at ER staff parties for years to come.

The three tips included with the vibrator include a rounded silicone tip with rings around it, an elongated silicone tip that looks a bit like a small tongue and a harder plastic tip with vertical swirly ridges. The first two are semi-flexible because they are silicone but the third is a hard plastic tip. The tips screw onto the vibrator and, despite my initial concern, none of them loosened during use. So you don’t need to fear them turning into flying missiles.

When I unscrewed the base of the vibrator, I noticed there was a soft o-ring around the rim to provide water protection. This vibrator is listed as waterproof but I’m not too sure about full immersion with it. I think I’d stick to showers or other situations that don’t require dunking it below the water’s surface for long.

Trojan Midnight Collection Triple Pleasure Vibrator This vibrator has simple plus and minus control buttons on the base. Pressing the plus button turns on the vibrator and cycles up through power intensities and vibration patterns. Pressing the minus button turns the vibrator off and cycles down through the power intensities and patterns. To turn the vibrator on or off, you do need to hold the button down for a few seconds.

I was actually surprised at the volume of this vibrator, especially in light of the single AA powering it. It’s quite a bit louder than many of my bullet vibrators and even many of my rechargeables. It was closer to my partner’s electric razor than the electric toothbrushes. I’m not sure that I can convince the kids that I had a new hobby of playing with the razor, so I waited to play more until they were in bed and at least pretending to sleep.

Once it was playtime, I started experimenting with the various settings and tips. There are five vibration levels and three vibration patterns. I found this vibrator quite easy to hold, far easier than a typical pocket rocket because of its base and size but it was a bit on the buzzy side for a vibrator and I tend to prefer heavier vibrations in general. That said, I really enjoyed playing with the different tips.

Trojan Midnight Collection Triple Pleasure Vibrator The silicon tips felt best with a dollop of water-based lube and the round silicone tip with a bit diffuse. It seemed like the flexibility of the ball tip dulled the intensity of the vibrations. I really liked the elongated tongue tip, though. It was just flexible enough to conform and I could cup it over my clit for a very intense level of stimulation. I also liked the harder plastic tip with the swirls for more pressure.

This vibrator worked really well to augment an insertable toy and I think it would be a really fun toy to use to explore a partner’s body as well as your own. It’s a bit expensive for its size but the variety provided by the three tips and multiple settings might win out over that. I don’t think it would be a great choice as a sole toy if you really like deep vibrations or insertions, though.

I’m not sure this toy is a long-term keeper for me but it’s certainly got a temporary place in the Toy Box.
