Pure Taboo doesn’t have a monopoly on creepy, but they’re working hard on cornering the market. Even if the particular taboos they’re showcasing aren’t your deal, you have to raise a glass to someone putting in some effort. Porn is – or is supposed to be – about taboos, and there’s a fine line between catering to people’s fantasies about something forbidden and celebrating something really appalling or degrading. Pure Taboo skirts that line, sometimes crossing it. This time, it starts off with sex slavery. In “Mail Order” which couldn’t be more sex-slavey if it tried, Ryan Driller has purchased a Russian girl and brought her to America, and in Blind Surprise, it’s nonconsensual medical fraud, where Ricky Johnson breaks into a blind girl’s house and tells her he’s a doctor in order to fuck her.

Elena Koshka is a mail order bride who has just arrived in America, and Ryan, a shy, awkward rich guy, is showing her around the house where he will be keeping her for the next few years. He says she’s not trapped there, but we all know what would happen if she tried to leave. She’s a commodity and an object, and even though he is very handsome and very well-endowed and allegedly a virgin and very solicitous, he has still bought her, and in spite of his hesitation and awkwardness, he’s still her owner.
